प्रयाणकाले मनसाचलेन भक्त्या युक्तो योगबलेन चैव । भ्रुवोर्मध्ये प्राणमावेश्य सम्यक् स तं परं पुरुषमुपैति दिव्यम् ॥

prayana-kale manasa acalena bhaktya yukto yoga-balena caiva bhruvor madhye pranam aveshya samyak sa tam param purusham upaiti divyam

Meaning

At the time of departure, with an unmoving mind, united with devotion and by the power of yoga, having fixed the prana correctly between the eyebrows — one reaches that Supreme Divine Person.

Understanding

The specific death-yoga technique: (1) Manasa acalena — with an unmoving (acala) mind — the mind that has been trained by abhyasa. (2) Bhaktya yukta — united with bhakti (devotion — the emotional orientation toward the Supreme). (3) Yoga-balena — by the power/force of yoga (the gathered pranic and meditative force). (4) Bhruvor madhye pranam aveshya samyak — having fixed the prana correctly (samyak) between the eyebrows (bhruvor madhye — the ajna chakra, the brahmarandhra pathway). The practitioner conscious at death, through these combined means, reaches (upaiti) the Supreme Divine Person.
