Bhagavad Gita BG 7.6
Chapter 7, Verse 6 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation
एतद्योनीनि भूतानि सर्वाणीत्युपधारय । अहं कृत्स्नस्य जगतः प्रभवः प्रलयस्तथा ॥
etad-yonini bhutani sarvany ity upadharaya aham krtsnasya jagatah prabhavah pralayas tatha
Meaning
Understand that all beings have their womb (origin) in these two (natures). I am the origin (prabhava) and dissolution (pralaya) of the entire universe.
Understanding
Etad-yonini (with these two as the womb/origin) — all beings (sarvani bhutani) arise from the combination of the two prakriti's. And the stunning bottom-line: aham krtsnasya jagatah prabhavah — I am the prabhava (origin, arising, emergence) of the entire (krtsna) universe. Tatha pralayas — and also the pralaya (dissolution, return). The universe arises from Krishna (prabhava) and returns to Krishna (pralaya). He is the source and the return — the Alpha and Omega.
