Bhagavad Gita BG 6.30

Chapter 6, Verse 30 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation

Meaning

One who sees Me everywhere and sees all in Me — I am never lost to that one, nor is that one ever lost to Me.

Understanding

The personal, devotional dimension of the all-seeing vision. Verse 29 was universal (sarva-bhuta, all beings, Atman). Here Krishna personalizes it: yo mam pashyati sarvatra (who sees ME everywhere). Sarvam ca mayi pashyati (sees all in ME). The fruit: the mutual non-loss. Tasyaham na pranashyami — I am not lost to that one (they do not lose Me). Sa ca me na pranashyati — nor is that one lost to Me (I do not lose them). This is the union of the devotional and the non-dual: they see Me everywhere and I see them always.
