Bhagavad Gita BG 5.5

Chapter 5, Verse 5 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation

यत्सांख्यैः प्राप्यते स्थानं तद्योगैरपि गम्यते । एकं सांख्यं च योगं च यः पश्यति स पश्यति ॥

yat sankhyaih prapyate sthanam tad yogair api gamyate ekam sankhyam ca yogam ca yah pashyati sa pashyati

Meaning

The state (of liberation) reached by Sankhyas is also reached by the yogis. One who sees Sankhya and Yoga as one truly sees.

Understanding

The summit (sthana — state of liberation) is identical. And the insight: yah pashyati ekam sankhyam ca yogam ca — one who sees (pashyati) Sankhya AND yoga as ONE (ekam) — sa pashyati — THAT one truly sees. This is the discriminative vision that perceives unity beneath apparent diversity.
