Bhagavad Gita BG 4.27
Chapter 4, Verse 27 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation
सर्वाणीन्द्रियकर्माणि प्राणकर्माणि चापरे । आत्मसंयमयोगाग्नौ जुह्वति ज्ञानदीपिते ॥
sarvani indriya-karmani prana-karmani capare atma-samyama-yogagnau juhvati jnana-dipite
Meaning
Others offer all actions of the senses and all actions of the vital breath (prana) into the fire of the yoga of self-restraint, illumined by knowledge.
Understanding
The comprehensive inner yajna: ALL sense-actions and ALL vital-breath actions (prana-karmani — the five pranas that govern bodily life) are offered into atma-samyama-yoga (the yoga of Self-restraint — not suppression but the offering of all activity back to the Self). This fire is jnana-dipita — illumined by knowledge (not brute suppression but understanding). This describes the highest form of inner yajna where the entire life-activity becomes an offering.
