Bhagavad Gita BG 2.65
Chapter 2, Verse 65 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation
प्रसादे सर्वदुःखानां हानिरस्योपजायते । प्रसन्नचेतसो ह्याशु बुद्धिः पर्यवतिष्ठते ॥ ६५ ॥
prasāde sarva-duḥkhānāṃ hānir asyopajāyate prasanna-cetaso hy āśu buddhiḥ paryavatiṣṭhate
Meaning
For one who is so situated, the threefold miseries of material existence cease immediately, and with such a tranquil mind, one's intelligence quickly becomes well established.
Understanding
'Prasāda' (serenity/grace) produces two immediate results: (1) 'sarva-duḥkhānāṃ hāniḥ' — destruction of all sorrows; (2) 'prasanna-cetasaḥ buddhiḥ āśu paryavatiṣṭhate' — the intelligence of the serene-minded person quickly becomes well-established. Note 'āśu' — quickly! The path of inner peace is not slow. When the mind is serene and clear ('prasanna-cetasaḥ'), the intelligence can function properly and becomes steady rapidly.
