Bhagavad Gita BG 18.73
Chapter 18, Verse 73 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation
अर्जुन उवाच नष्टो मोहः स्मृतिर्लब्धा त्वत्प्रसादान्मयाच्युत । स्थितोऽस्मि गतसन्देहः करिष्ये वचनं तव ॥
arjuna uvaca nashto mohah smrtir labdha tvat-prasadan mayacyuta sthito 'smi gata-sandehah karishye vacanam tava
Meaning
Arjuna said: My delusion is destroyed, and I have regained memory through your grace, O Achyuta. I stand firm, with doubt gone. I shall do your word.
Understanding
Arjuna's response — the entire arc of the Gita completed in one verse. Nashto mohah (moha is destroyed — the bewilderment of Ch1 is gone). Smrtir labdha (memory is regained — the memory of one's true nature, the recall of the Atman). Tvat-prasadat maya (through your grace — acknowledging that the teaching came as divine grace). Strito asmi gata-sandehah (I stand firm, with all doubt gone — not just thinking differently but established). Karishye vacanam tava (I will do your word — action from clarity, not from compulsion or grief). The transformation is complete: from grief-paralysis (Ch1) to clear-eyed committed action (Ch18).
