Bhagavad Gita BG 18.69

Chapter 18, Verse 69 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation

न च तस्मान्मनुष्येषु कश्चिन्मे प्रियकृत्तमः । भविता न च मे तस्माद् अन्यः प्रियतरो भुवि ॥

na ca tasman manushyeshu kashcin me priya-krttamah bhavita na ca me tasmat anyah priyataro bhuvi

Meaning

None among humans does dearer service to Me than that person, nor shall there be another more beloved on earth.

Understanding

The supreme declaration of the value of teaching: na kashcin manushyeshu me priya-krttamah (none among humans does dearer service to Me — krttama = superlative of doer/performer, priya = dear). Bhavita na ca me tasmat anyah priyataro bhuvi (nor shall there be another more dear/beloved to Me on earth than them). The one who teaches the supreme Gita teaching to devotees is declared the most beloved of all human performers of service. This is not academic; it is a declaration of the value of spiritual teaching-seva (service): bringing others to this wisdom is the highest act of love both toward the students and toward Krishna.
