Bhagavad Gita BG 18.68

Chapter 18, Verse 68 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation

य इमं परमं गुह्यं मद्भक्तेष्वभिधास्यति । भक्तिं मयि परां कृत्वा मामेवैष्यत्यसंशयः ॥

ya imam paramam guhyam mad-bhakteshv abhidhasyati bhaktim mayi param krtvA mam evaisyaty asamshayah

Meaning

One who shall proclaim this supreme secret to My devotees, having performed the highest devotion to Me — will without doubt come to Me.

Understanding

The teaching's transmission: ya imam paramam guhyam (whoever proclaims this supreme secret — paramam guhyam, the most secret of all secrets). Mad-bhakteshv abhidhasyati (among My devotees — to devotees, not to all indiscriminately). Bhaktim mayi param krtvA (having performed the highest devotion to Me — the teacher who shares this is themselves a devotee). Mam eva aishyati asamsayah (will come to Me without doubt). The act of transmitting this teaching with devotion is itself a supreme act of bhakti that guarantees liberation.
