Bhagavad Gita BG 15.19

Chapter 15, Verse 19 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation

यो मामेवमसम्मूढो जानाति पुरुषोत्तमम् । स सर्वविद्भजति मां सर्वभावेन भारत ॥

yo mam evam asam-mudho janati purushottamam sa sarva-vid bhajati mam sarva-bhavena bharata

Meaning

One who is not deluded, who knows Me thus as Purushottama — he knows all, and worships Me with his whole being, O Bharata.

Understanding

The fruit of Ch15's knowledge: yah mam evam asammudho janati purushottamam (one who knows Me thus, without confusion, as the Purushottama). Asam-mudha (not deluded — a strong positive: one who has pierced through all confusion). Sa sarva-vit (he knows all — knowing the Purushottama is knowing the totality, because the Purushottama pervades and sustains everything). Bhajati mam sarva-bhavena (worships Me with all one's being/with every mode of existence). Sarva-bhava (all bhava = all forms of feeling, being, relating — not partial worship but total engagement). The knowledge of Purushottama is not just intellectual — it flowers into sarva-bhavena bhakti (total devotion with one's whole being). This is the integration of jnana and bhakti that Ch15 models.
