Bhagavad Gita BG 12.6
Chapter 12, Verse 6 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation
ये तु सर्वाणि कर्माणि मयि संन्यस्य मत्पराः । अनन्येनैव योगेन मां ध्यायन्त उपासते ॥
ye tu sarvani karmani mayi sannyasya mat-parah ananyenaiva yogena mam dhyayanta upasate
Meaning
But those who, offering all their actions to Me and holding Me as their supreme goal, worship Me and meditate on Me with undivided yoga —
Understanding
Krishna now turns to devotion to the personal form. Those who place all their actions in Him (sarvani karmani mayi sannyasya), hold Him as their supreme aim (mat-parah) and meditate on Him with undivided yoga (ananyenaiva yogena) are the worshippers described here. Sannyasya means offering, not abandoning: the actions continue, but their ownership is given up. The promise made to these devotees comes in 12.7.
