Bhagavad Gita BG 12.2

Chapter 12, Verse 2 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation

श्रीभगवानुवाच मय्यावेश्य मनो ये मां नित्ययुक्ता उपासते । श्रद्धया परयोपेताः ते मे युक्ततमा मताः ॥

shri bhagavan uvaca mayy aveshya mano ye mam nityayukta upasate shraddaya parayopetah te me yuktatama matah

Meaning

The Blessed Lord said: Those who fix their mind on Me, always united with Me, worshipping Me with supreme faith — these are considered by Me to be the most expert in yoga.

Understanding

Krishna answers directly: mayi aveshya mano (having fixed the mind on Me). Nityayukta upasate (always united, worshipping). Shraddaya parayopetah (endowed with supreme/utmost shraddha — faith/commitment). Te me yuktatama matah (these are considered by Me the most expert in yoga). The personal-devotion path is declared the most excellent. Why? Because it is the most complete, the most unified — heart, mind, and shraddha all directed. Yuktatama — the superlative: the most yoked, the most completely united.
