shri bhagavan uvaca maya prasannena tavArjunedam rupam param darshitam atma-yogat tejomayam vishvam anantam adyam yan me tvad anyena na drshta-purvam
Meaning
The Blessed Lord said: By My grace, O Arjuna, this supreme form has been shown to you by My own Yogic power — luminous, universal, infinite, primordial — which has not been seen before by anyone other than you.
Understanding
Krishna explains the gift that was given. Maya prasannena (by Me, being pleased/gracious — prasanna: serene, pleased, full of grace). Tava (to you — specifically to Arjuna). Rupam param darshitam (this supreme form has been shown). Atma-yogat (through My own Yoga — the Divine's own yogic power, not any external means). Tejomayam (luminous, made of tejas/radiance). Vishvam (universal, cosmic). Anantam (infinite). Adyam (primordial, the original). Yan me tvad anyena na drshta-purvam (which of Mine has not been seen before by any other than you). The cosmic vision is not a regular teaching; it is a direct act of divine grace — prasanna — given uniquely, shown through the Divine's own power, to this specific devotee in this specific moment.
