Bhagavad Gita BG 10.41

Chapter 10, Verse 41 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation

यद्यद्विभूतिमत्सत्त्वं श्रीमदूर्जितमेव वा । तत्तदेवावगच्छ त्वं मम तेजोंऽशसम्भवम् ॥

yad yad vibhutimat sattvam shrimad urjitam eva va tat tad evavagaccha tvam mama tejo 'msha-sambhavam

Meaning

Whatever being is glorious, prosperous, or mighty — know that every such thing is born of a portion of My splendor (tejas).

Understanding

The summary-principle for recognizing divine vibhutis: yad yad vibhutimat sattva (whatever being is full of vibhuti — glory), shrimat (prosperous, endowed with Sri/beauty/grace), urjitam (mighty, powerful) — tat tat (every such thing) mama tejah-amsha-sambhavam (born from a fraction/portion of My splendor). The practical method for constant remembrance: wherever you see something extraordinary — glory, prosperity, beauty, power — recognize it as a visible portion of the divine splendor. Every excellence encountered in the world is a window to the Divine.
