Bhagavad Gita BG 10.3

Chapter 10, Verse 3 — Meaning, Translation & Explanation

यो मामजमनादिं च वेत्ति लोकमहेश्वरम् । असम्मूढः स मर्त्येषु सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते ॥

yo mam ajam anadim ca vetti loka-maheshvaram asammudhah sa martyeshu sarva-papaih pramucyate

Meaning

Whoever knows Me as unborn (aja), without beginning (anadi), and the Supreme Lord of worlds — that one, undeluded among mortals, is freed from all sin.

Understanding

The three attributes of the Supreme that, when known, free from all sin: (1) Aja (unborn — no birth-event, no entry-point into time). (2) Anadi (without beginning — no temporal start). (3) Loka-maheshvara (Supreme Lord of all worlds). Whoever vetti (knows) Me with these three attributes — asammudhah (undeluded) sa martyeshu (among the mortals/humans) — pramucyate sarva-papaih — is freed from ALL sins. The knowledge of the Supreme's nature IS the liberation from sin.
